Frequently asked questions
The questions we get most often from new clients. If yours isn’t here, send it to our team — contact@noboxa.com.
Ordering & pricing
- What’s the minimum order quantity? From 50 units for rigid gift boxes, 300 for folding cartons and mailers, 500 for subscription programs. Lower quantities possible with digital print — ask.
- How much does a custom box cost?Unit cost depends on material, size, finishing, and quantity. A premium magnetic box at 1,000 units typically lands EUR 3.50–6.00 per unit. Use the online configurator for an indicative price, or send a brief for a detailed quote.
- How do I pay?Bank transfer (SEPA) standard. Credit-terms account (Net 30 / Net 60) available for returning clients after a successful first order. Reserve option holds production slot against a 20% deposit.
- Can I reorder the same design?Yes — we keep dielines and artwork on file. Reorders run at ~80% of first-run cost and ship in 10–14 days.
- Do you accept Purchase Orders (PO)?Yes. Include your PO reference in the checkout field or email it with your quote approval.
Artwork & design
- What artwork file format do you need?Print-ready PDF with 3mm bleed, fonts outlined, CMYK + spot Pantones separated. We provide the dieline template once the construction is approved.
- Can you design the artwork for us?We offer design support on request — layout adaptation, regulatory text placement, language variants. For full brand identity, we recommend partnering with a design studio.
- Can you check my artwork for print issues?Yes. Preflight check included in every order — bleed, resolution, colour, overprint, missing fonts, regulatory compliance.
- Will my colours match the screen?Approximately. Screens use RGB light, print uses CMYK + spot inks. For colour-critical work we produce an ICC-profiled proof on production stock before press — Delta-E ≤ 3 against your brand spec.
- Can I see a physical proof before production?Yes — physical prototype in hand within 7–10 days. Included on all rigid gift boxes. Optional on folding cartons (+ EUR 150).
Lead time & delivery
- How long from order to delivery?12–22 days of production from approved artwork, depending on format. Add 7–10 days for prototype approval if applicable.
- Where do you deliver?France, Belgium, Switzerland as standard DAP. Other EU destinations on request. Delivery includes customs clearance and duties for non-EU destinations.
- Can I get rush production?Yes — rush slots available at +15% surcharge, compressing lead time by ~30%. Subject to current press schedule.
- What if the delivery is damaged? We photograph outgoing pallets. If damage occurs in transit, send us photos within 48 hours of delivery — replacement shipped at our cost.
- Can you ship direct to my retailer / 3PL?Yes. Palletized, EAN-labelled, SSCC-barcoded for Sephora, Douglas, Nocibé, AS Watson group as standard.
Sustainability
- Is your packaging recyclable? The default answer is yes — most materials we use are paper-based and monomaterial. Specific constructions with PET windows or foil are recyclable under different streams. We disclose per SKU.
- Is it FSC-certified?All virgin-fibre materials are FSC-certified. Chain-of-custody documentation included with every order. FSC 100%, FSC Recycled, or FSC Mix — your choice.
- Can I get the recycled-content %?Yes — stated on the material spec and verifiable through the mill certificate. PCR options available up to 100%.
- Do you apply Triman markings?Yes, included in the artwork review for French-retail products. Info-Tri sorting instructions placed correctly per 2022 regulation.
- Are the inks food-safe?Low-migration, heavy-metal-free inks standard. For direct-food-contact applications, specific ink sets are used — we share the technical data sheet with the order.
About Noboxa
- Are you a manufacturer or an intermediary? We are a B2B production intermediary. We project-manage your order across a vetted EU partner network — France, Belgium, Czech Republic. You get one contact, one contract, one quality standard.
- Why intermediary vs. direct mill?Because most custom orders need 3–4 different processes (print, foil, assembly, finishing) that rarely all happen in one building. We route each step to the best-fit partner, manage schedule, and own quality.
- Who’s behind Noboxa?Small specialist team with 10+ years in packaging production. See our about page.
- Can I visit your facility? We’re happy to arrange partner-facility visits for serious projects — particularly for brands with heritage / craftsmanship requirements that need to see the production environment.
- Why are you based where you are?Proximity to the European paper mills, premium finishing specialists, and the French / Belgian / Swiss market we primarily serve.
